Step Team!
We have some exciting practices and performances coming up, and we want to make sure our families have all the information needed to help our steppers feel confident, prepared, and ready to shine.
Attire:
We are excited to share that we have purchased new neon glasses, hats, gloves, and a special vest for our Step Team to perform in throughout May. We are asking that each student has an all-black undershirt, black pants, and black boots. We’ve included links to help with ordering these items.

Tuesday, May 5 – Morning Club Practice @ 7:20 AM
Thank you for having your child at school by 7:20 AM so we can maximize our time together. Arriving on time is essential so students can fully participate in warm-ups and learn new choreography without missing key instruction.
Wednesday, May 6 – After School Practice: 2:00 – 3:30 PM
We will host an after-school practice to ensure uniforms fit properly and to run through the full performance. We will also create a promo video for the Arts in Motion Showcase. This practice is important so our team can build confidence, refine transitions, and perform as one unified group.
Tuesday, May 12 – Morning Club Practice @ 7:20 AM
No better way to start the morning than with The Gator Stomp!
Friday, May 15 – Arts in Motion Showcase at Hermitage High School @ 6:00 PM
Our Step Team should arrive at Hermitage by 5:30 PM. We will not know the performance order until we arrive. Students should come dressed in their uniform: black shirt, black pants, and black boots. We will provide gloves, hats, and glasses, which will be collected after the performance.
Wednesday, May 20 – Dress Rehearsal at Holman Middle School: 4:00 – 6:00 PM
We are excited for our Step Team to perform in the school play! No specific attire is required for this rehearsal.
Thursday, May 21 – Dress Rehearsal at Holman Middle School: 4:00 – 5:30 PM
Students should arrive in their black shirt, black pants, and black boots. We will provide all props.
Thursday, May 21 – School Play Performance at Holman Middle School @ 6:00 PM
This is another exciting opportunity for our Step Team to perform under the bright lights. More information about tickets will be shared soon.
Friday, May 22 – School Play Performance at Greenwood @ 9:00 AM
There is something powerful about performing in front of your peers—our steppers will have the opportunity to lead, inspire, and shine in front of the entire school community.
Friday, May 29 – Final Performance @ 8:30 AM
This will be our final performance in front of the school. We especially hope our 5th grade families can attend to celebrate this special moment.
We are incredibly proud of the opportunities we’ve created for our students to build confidence, work as a team, and showcase their talents through Step Team. These performances are more than routines—they are moments for students to grow, lead, and truly shine their light.
If your child is unable to attend any of the practices or performances, it is essential that you notify Coach Ms. Wilson by this Friday. Please send in a note or leave a comment on our post so we can plan accordingly.
